The VW Caddy may be marketed as a light commercial vehicle, but the bonnet houses an engine that is anything but. The VW Caddy available in a choice of two powerful ‘Pumpe Duese’ (PD) diesel engines, a 69PS SDI PD 2.0 litre, 4 cylinder and 104PS TDI PD 1.9 litre engine.Unique to the 104PS TDI PD, the VW Caddy comes equipped with a Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG). Voted 2006’s What Van? technology winner, the DSG has a twin-clutch design, meaning that it completes gear changes in under four-hundreths of a second and ensures smooth transitions between gears.

Despite its compact size, storage in the VW Caddy is ample, with a load volume of 3.2m³, it allows a load length of 1,781mm, load width of 1,558mm and a load height of 1,257mm. Protection from loads is provided through six load lashing rings, half-height side-lining and a robust bulkhead.

Further storage is provided with a number of handy compartments situated throughout the vehicle, comprising of drinks holders, large pockets in the doors and headlining and under-seat storage.

When out in the VW Caddy, the driving experience is enhanced with the aid of an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Traction Control System (TCS) and Engine Braking Control (EBC). Designed to take on any road surface with ease.
