Indeed its capacity is positively cavernous when you consider that the average load volume of vehicles in this class is 14m³.In addition, the availability of a super high ‘maxi’ roof, gives rise to a maximum payload for the panel van of up to 2,668kg – that’s 180kg more than the current LT – while the Crafter’s side sliding door aperture is ‘best in class’ for ease of loading!

The rear wheel drive Crafter is more than a new model – it incorporates new and innovative technology that is available for the first time.Powerful and extremely frugal engines underline the new Crafter’s character.

With a 2.5-litre 5 cylinder TDI available with 89PS, 109PS, 136PS and 164PS, depending on the application, there’s an engine option to meet the demands of every job.While common rail direct injection diesel technology ensures Crafter engines have high torque at low speeds with very economical fuel consumption, durable and maintenance-free diesel particulate filters are fitted as standard for the first time.

Safety

Developed with comfort and design in mind, the new Volkswagen Crafter van also scores well in the safety and security stakes.
