4Motion
4Motion® all wheel drive system is available on 130PS T30 short wheelbase and long wheelbase panel and window vans.
Adjustable Steering Wheel
Fully adjustable for reach and rake, the driver can achieve a safe and comfortable driving position.
Airbags
A drivers airbag with 64 litres of volume is fitted as a standard with option to fit a passenger airbag.
Cloth Seat Upholstery
The Transporter has ‘Inca’ grey cloth trim as standard. The driver’s seat height, reach, rake and lumbar adjustments.
Dash Mounted Gear Lever
Within easy reach of the driver for quick gear changes the dash mounted lever is available as a 5-speed gearbox on 84PS and 102PS TDI PD models. It is also available as a 6-speed gearbox on 130PS and 174PS TDI PD models.
Drinks Holders
Two drinks holders are integrated into the dashboard and can securely hold cups or cans.
Electrical Socket
An illuminated 12V socket is situated in the cab of all Volkswagen Transporters.
Extended Door Mirrors
Chassis cab and double cab models are fitted with extended mirrors as standard. Designed to extend the field of vision and able to fold into the body when manoeuvring in tight spaces.
Front Passenger Bench Seat
The Transporter panel van, chassis van and double cab, all feature a 2-seater front passenger seat as standard. As an option, a single passenger seat can be ordered instead of the bench seat. Window vans feature a single passenger seat as standard.
Halogen Headlights
Powerful halogen headlights are equipped with headlight range adjustment and clear lenses as standard.
Instrument Panel
Includes coolant temperature display*, digital clock, fuel gauge, rev counter, speedometer, total mileage and trip computer, warning lamp for handbrake applied.
*Replaced with warning light on 84PS models, except with optional trip computer or satellite navigation.
Instrument Panel Display
The centre of the instrument panel features a waning display for handbrake, brake circuit failure, brake fluid level, washer level, fuel level, oil level and doors left open.
Load Side Lining
The load compartment of the panel van is well protected by half-height hardboard panel trim that is painted grey.
Radio/CD Player
Built-in Radio and CD player (2 DIN) with RDS radio function and 4 speakers.
Rear Wing Doors
Rear wing doors without windows are fitted as standard to Transporter panel vans. As an option, a tailgate can be specified on Transporter panel vans to replace the standard rear wing doors.
Rear Wing Doors for High Roof
All high roof panel van and window vans feature full-height rear wing doors.
Remote Control Central Locking
A remote key fob allows you lock and unlock the Transporter at the touch of a button.
Removable Seats
The window van offers easily removable seats. The load and passenger floor is covered in hard- wearing rubber to add both grip and protection.
Safety as Standard
The Transporter offers ABS, TCS/ASR* and EBC. For more grip we suggest 4Motion on a range of models.
Seat Belts on All Seats
Three-point seat belts are standard on all seats. Outer cab seats also feature height adjustable belt tensioners.
Sliding Door
The standard side sliding door is on the nearside of the panel van and window van. A second offside sliding door is available as an option.
Storage Compartment in Headlining
A storage box is integrated into the headlining of the cab, giving easy access to both driver and front passengers.
Storage in Driver and Front Passenger Doors
Extra wide storage compartments in the driver’s door can store a 1.5 litre bottle, and in the passenger side door, 1.5 litre bottle for single or 1 litre bottle for dual seat.
Storage Net on Dashboard
An expandable storage net is conveniently fitted to the passenger side of the dashboard.
Storage Tray on Dashboard
A handy oddment storage tray on top of the centre of the dashboard helps secure small items when travelling.
Tiptronic, Automatic Gearbox
T30 130PS TDI PD models are also available with 6-speed automatic gearbox with Tiptronic.
